Hannah J. Bowser, 78, of Lee Lane, Grove City, formerly of Harrisville, died at 6:50 a.m. Thursday in VNA In Patient Hospice Butler. At her request, her body was donated to science. She was born in Franklin on Dec. 15, 1931, to Robert O. Bailey and Frances M. (Simons) Bailey. She was retired from Grove Manor in Grove City were she worked in the laundry department. She also worked at the former Budget Janitorial. She helped with memberships at Superior Ambulance in Grove City. She was a Protestant. She was an avid bird watcher, Steelers fan and NASCAR fan. She married Charles L. Bowser on Jan. 17, 1949. Surviving are three daughters, Ellen L. Ritenour and her husband, Richard L., of Grove City, Mary F. Dick and her husband, Douglas L., of Harrisville, and Beatrice A. Barron and her husband, Terry L., of Slippery Rock; son, David L. Bowser and his wife, Brenda L., of Grove City; 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and brother, Richard O. Bailey of Grove City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, who died May 25, 2000; three daughters, Rita Bowser, Susan Frampton and Kimberly Bowser; two grandchildren; one sister, Ann Rosner; and four brothers, John Bailey, Fredrick Bailey, James Bailey and Fannie Bailey. BOWSER - There will be no visitation or service for Hannah J. Bowser who died July 15, 2010. Burial will be later in Prairie Cemetery Harrisville. Memorial contributions can be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301. Arrangements are by Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main Street, Harrisville.
