Virginia J. Beatty

Virginia J. Beatty, 99, of Franklin passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at The Caring Place.
�
The daughter of the late Albert B. Walters and Mildred J. Fury Walters Bell, she was born in Franklin on October 27, 1919. �She was a 1937 graduate of Rocky Grove High School.
�
She and William H. Beatty were married on August 28, 1937. �Mr. Beatty preceded her on November 19, 2002. �An infant son and her brothers, Clarence Walters and Albert Walters, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Beatty is survived by: her daughter, Mary Jo Strawbridge and her husband, Francis R. Strawbridge, of Philadelphia, PA; two granddaughters, Lynn Strawbridge and her husband, Royal Edmondson, of Vietnam and Margaret Butterworth and her husband, Robert, of Seattle, WA; and two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Mackenna Butterworth; her niece and ward, Helene Walters Reagle and her husband, Keith Reagle of Grand Valley; two grandnieces Khristina Mays Chess and her husband, Mark, of Huntsville, AL, and Jennifer Mays of Pittsfield, PA, and a great niece, Kara Mays; and her nieces, Susan B. Walters and Sally Marbich, and her husband, Mark, of Franklin.

She was a member of the First Church of God at Seventh Street, the First Church of God's Woman's Ministry, the Senior Fellowship Sunday School Class and participated in a variety of civic and service organizations. �

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 312 W. Park Street, Franklin. �
