Virginia Louise (Wolfe) Grafton, 69, of Franklin died on Wednesday afternoon, October 8th, 2014 at UPMC Northwest Hospital in Seneca with her family by her side.
Born January 12th, 1945 in Vandergrift, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Wolfe.
She was a 1962 graduate of Vandergrift High School in Vandergrift, PA. She received her Bachelors of Education from Edinboro State Teachers College in 1965 and her Masters of Education from Clarion College in 1971. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma honors society while teaching. She taught elementary school in Kent, OH and Crafton, PA before moving to Franklin and teaching at Central Elementary from 1968 until her retirement in 2002.
Ginni was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church in Franklin, PA, where she sang in the choir. She was a volunteer at the hospital gift shop in Seneca, and she also volunteered with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also had a passion for domestic and international travel and loved to shop.
She was married on August 12th 1967 to S. Lane Grafton, who survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Lane J. Grafton of Sewickley, PA and his wife, Jennifer; and her daughter, Adrienne M. Grafton of Harmony, PA and her husband, Chuck. She is also survived by her grandson, Fox O. Fryman, who quickly became her pride and joy.
Family and friends are welcome Friday from 4:00 -7:00 P.M. at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin.
A memorial service will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday at Christ United Methodist Church, 1135 Buffalo St. Franklin with the Rev. Sam Wagner, Associate Pastor, Officiating.
