Benjamin Joseph "Benny" Kachik, 42, of Franklin, passed away tragically on Sunday, July 12, 2026 in Erie. 

He was born in the Rocky Mountains in Glenwood Springs, CO on July 4, 1984. He was the 5th son of Renee Kachik and the late Andrew P. Kachik. 

Ben was always the brightest light in the room. He loved his family and friends deeply and cherished his two children more than anything. Ben was a devoted father, a loving brother and an amazing friend. He was always the life of the family and known for his legendary parties and delicious home-cooked meals. 

Ben loved the outdoors- he spent many days on the beach and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his brothers. He always had a smile on his face that made everyone smile. 

He leaves behind his two children, Bellanae and Braxson Kachik of Franklin. He is survived by his mother, Renee Kachik of Meadville, his four brothers; Andrew, Michael, Todd, and Josh of Aspen, CO, and half brother Nathan Kachik of Franklin. Nieces and nephews include Brandon Winger, Kalynn Kachik, Chanel Kachik, Joshua Patrick Kachik, and Miley Kachik. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends are also left to cherish his memory. 

Ben was preceded in death by his father, Andrew P. Kachik, paternal grandparents Albert and Leona Kachik, and maternal grandparents, Herb and Wanda Barker. 

Ben will always be remembered for his big smile, his bigger heart, and unwavering love for his family. 

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 312 W Park St. Franklin, PA where friends and family will be welcome from 5PM to 7PM on Friday, July 17, 2026 for a time of visitation.

A celebration of Ben's life will be held immediately following at 7PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Phillip Thomas of Bible Baptist Church of Meadville, officiating.
