Calvin C. Vanderhoff, 83, of Franklin, PA, departed this earthly life to rest in heaven's glory June 27, 2025, after a long illness.
Calvin was born to Mabel [Woolstrum] and Charles E. Vanderhoff on April 29, 1942, in Titusville, PA. He graduated from Warren High School, Warren, PA, in 1960, and Bryant & Stratton business school in Buffalo, NY.
On November 8, 1975, Calvin married the love of his life, Beverly Heckathorne, in New Castle, PA.
Known for his ability to make friends with any stranger, Calvin enjoyed a long career in sales and marketing with Nabisco.
He enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises with family and friends. A gifted woodcarver, he was once named Grand Champion at the Crawford County Fair and loved to create beautiful objects for his loved ones.
Calvin cherished his family and friends. Whether it was time spent teaching them how to hook up electrical outlets or how to build a bookcase, or taking them for "supplies" at Polly's, he always put his loved ones first. Playing Spades and Pay Me were a regular occurrence, with him winning most games, including those played in his final days.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 50 years, Beverly; son Bradley Vanderhoff; daughters Melissa (Gregg) Chapman, Michelle (Gary) Vanderhoff, Allyson Vanderhoff (Justin Campbell); grandchildren Sethren Vanderhoff, Alexis (Sean) Robinson, Amber (Mike) White, Jacob Chapman, William Robinson, Aidan Robinson, Kieran Robinson; six great-grandchildren; and sisters Carol Ann (Lyman) Kightlinger and Imogene Post.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, sister Beverly Brenan, daughter Tanya Lee Dunkle, and son-in-law Gary Robinson.
