Chris A. Grimm, 64, of Franklin, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Oil City Nursing and Rehabilitation after a 3 day stay.
She was born at Franklin Hospital to the late Bernard J. and Ruth E. Buck Grimm of Reno on September 9, 1961.
Chris attended Reno Elementary School, Rocky Grove Elementary School, and graduated in 1980 from Rocky Grove High School.
She was a life long animal lover. In her childhood years she would visit the horses boarded at the barns in the neighborhood. Chris often walked people's dogs for them, just for the company of the dog. She had many cats over her life time including Puff, Morris, twins Oscar and Felix, Raisin, and her current kitty, Trixie.
Chris was a member of Fox Street Church of God. After moving to Franklin, she attended Christ Church.
She worked for a number of years at Bonanza Restaurant. She also was a house keeper for several area families.
Chris is survived by her brother, Joe (Louise) Grimm of Edinburgh, Scotland, her sisters Karen (Gary) Barton of Franklin and Lisa (Barry) McGinnis of Polk. Nieces and nephews are Chris (Janie) Cramer, Carlee Cramer, Kevin (Erin) Barton, Amanda (Ben) Grimm, and Morgan and Madison McGinnis. Great nieces are Rachel Cramer, Jolene Bodner, and Isabella Wood, and a great nephew, Alex Wood.
Preceding Chris in death are her parents, her Aunt Blanche Halloran, and a sister, Sharon Cramer.
Her family would like to thank Fresenius Kidney Care in Seneca and AseraCare Hospice for their loving care of Chris.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 312 W Park St. Franklin, PA 16323 where friends and family will be received from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. on Monday, June 15th for a time of visitation.
A funeral service will take place immediately after at 6:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dr. Darrell Greenawalt of Christ Church Franklin, officiating.
Interment will take place at The Franklin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to AseraCare Hospice Care 12664 Rt 19 South, Unit 1A, Waterford, PA 16441 or Fox Street Church of God 229 Fox Street, Franklin, PA 16323.
