Chub
Scannell, Jr.
May 25, 1961 – March 25, 2026
Harold Leroy Scannell Jr., Better known as “Chub,” passed away on March 25, 2026, at the age of 64 in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was born in Franklin, Pennsylvania.
Chub spent many years working as a dedicated truck driver, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family. Outside of work, he found his greatest joy in spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, who meant the world to him. He also had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing whenever he had the chance. In addition, he was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and rarely missed a game, proudly supporting his team through every season.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Leroy Scannell Sr.; his mother, Norma Krepp Scannell; his brothers, Charles Krepp, Robert Scannell, and Scott Scannell; and his sister, Ruth Hohn.
Chub is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Scannell; his daughter, Tawnya Titus; his sons, Michael Scannell and Mathew Malone; as well as six grandchildren, Mandy Basham, Taylor Hughes, James Titus JR, Mason Malone, Harper Malone, Ashlyn Scannell, and three great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry on his memory and legacy.
Chub will be remembered for his love of family, his hardworking spirit, and his appreciation for the simple joys of life, whether outdoors or cheering on his favorite team. He leaves behind many cherished memories with those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends will be welcome for a time of gathering from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Cooperstown Cemetery, 1790 Donation Hill Rd, Cooperstown, PA 16314.
A graveside memorial service will be held immediately after at 11:00 AM in the cemetery with interment to follow.
