David D. Rhoads

David DeWayne Rhoads, 70, of East Fairfield Twp., Meadville, passed away of natural causes at his home on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Born March 10, 1956 in Franklin, he was the son of the late Richard and Harriet Huff Rhoads.

A 1974 graduate of Rocky Grove High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served for two years. He was employed at Electraloy, retired from Franklin Bronze, and most recently worked at Peters Heat Treat in Meadville, PA.

He is survived by his former wife, Carol "Jeannie" Rhoads; his brothers, Daniel (Yvonne) Rhoads and Donald (Julie Hovis) Rhoads; a stepson, Russell Coyne (Sheila); nieces and nephews Dustin Rhoads, Daniel Rhoads, Jr. (Jena), Mindy Rhoads, Nicholas (Amanda) Rhoads, Erica Rhoads, Travis Rhoads (Shania), and also three step-grandchildren, Amy, Autumn, and Johnny.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Cindy Coyne.

David had a great love of hunting with Don and Dustin in Pike County, IL and riding his motorcycle. He was known for his kind heart. He had a strong love for his family, God, and country.

Arrangements are entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
