Donald S. “Scotty” Wolfkiel, 77, of Franklin, passed away at 7:08 P.M. on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Oil
City Healthcare and Rehabilitation where he has resided for the past year.


Born in Franklin on April 25, 1946, he was the son of the late Donald H. And Louise Fleming Wolfkiel.
He was a 1964 graduate of Franklin High School and then served in the United States Army.


Scotty attended Bryant & Stratton Business School. He was an avid fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams,
especially the Pittsburgh Pirates.


In his younger years, he and his Dad went to many stadiums across the country to watch the Pirates
play.


Surviving is his sister, Cherie Riddle of Franklin, a nephew, Don Riddle (Manya) of Pittsburgh, a niece,
Shelley (Jesse) Rice of Franklin; three great nieces, Christina Rice of Franklin, Katelynn Rice of Erie and
Sydney Riddle of Pittsburgh and a great-great-niece, Brooklyn Rice.


He was preceded in death by his parents.


There will be no visitation.


Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West
Park St. Franklin.


A graveside service will be held held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at the Franklin Cemetery
with the V.E.T.S Honor Guard rendering Military Honors.
