Harry B. Miller

Harry B. Miller 89 of Grant St. Franklin passed away at 6:45 A.M. Monday January 26, 2015 at The Caring Place.

Born September 1, 1925 in Oil City, he was the son of the late Leander B. and Grace Williams Miller.

He was married December 31, 1945 to Ella "Mae" Seber Miller and they celebrated 69 years of marriage on December 31, 2014.

He was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1943. He served in the Merchant Marines from 1944-to 1945 and in the Army from 1946-1947 and again in the Korean War from 1950 - 1951.

He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and the Albright Class. He was a former trustee and usher.

He enjoyed reading and extensive traveling with his wife. He and his wife spent 15 winters on Pine Island in Florida. He was a dialysis patient for nine years. He belonged to a lunch bunch that meets every Wednesday and a Cousins Lunch Group that meets every Tuesday during the summer months.

He formerly worked for PPG Industries in Reno and retired from Mellon Bank.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Susan Blauser and her husband Robert of Franklin; a son, Mark Miller and his wife Susan of Hermitage; four grandchildren, Julia Hanning and her husband Brian of Columbus, OH, Andy Blauser of Bridgeville, Dr. John Miller and his wife Dr. Yan Miller of San Francisco CA, and Jennifer Wadrose and her husband Matthew of Hermitage; five great grandchildren, Trenton, Cierra and Skylar Hanning of Columbus, OH, Lucas Miller of San Francisco, CA and Daniel Wadrose of Hermitage, a special nephew, James Cross and his wife Lois and a special niece, Peggy Atts and her husband Ed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, George and Gladys Cross.

Family and friends welcome on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. David Janz, Pastor of Christ United Methodist Church, officiating.

Military honors will be rendered by the V.E.T.S Honor Guard at the funeral home following the service.

Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at The Caring Place for their care and friendliness.
