Harry M. "Mike" McClelland, 83, of Franklin, passed away the morning of Friday, November 7th, 2025 at home.
Son of the late Harry W. and Jeanne H. Duffy McClelland, he was born on April 12, 1942 Franklin.
Mike was a graduate of Rocky Grove High School.
Two weeks after graduation, he reported for duty in the United States Marine Corps on June 15, 1960. He proudly served his country during the Cuban Missile Crisis and was discharged in 1964.
When Mike's time in the service came to an end he was employed by his father in the construction business. Following that he was employed at Polk Center, where he retired after 25 years.
Mike was a loyal Steelers fan and could often be seen in his Steelers leather jacket.
A lover of animals, he was a cat person at heart. He loved the cats he had throughout his life and enjoyed feeding any outside cats that needed love and care.
Mike attended Grace Church of Rocky Grove with his wife for the past 5 years.
Above all, Mike was a family man. His siblings and nephews brought so much joy to his life, and they will remember him fondly.
Mike was married to the former Carol Hartzell on April 8, 1967. They were blessed to share 58 years together, and she survives him.
Additionally surviving Mike are his siblings, Brian (Virginia) McClelland of IL, John McClelland of Franklin, and Kathy (Ron) Newtzie, also of Franklin. Also left to cherish his memory are his nephews, Curtis Walker of NY, Casey McClelland of IL, and Michael (Simon) McClelland-Williamson and his children, Fox and Leo. Mike is additionally survived by a sister in-law, Jean Walker, of NY.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his parents in-law, sister in-law Karen McClelland, brother in-law Mike Read, and two nephews, Marty Scanell and Tim Walker.
By Mike's request, there will be no public services.

Memorial donations can be made in Mike's name to the Venango County Humane Society 286 S Main St, Seneca, PA 16346.
