James J. Bajorek, 78, of Franklin died at home Saturday November 1, 2025 while in hospice care.
A son of Peter and Stella Kuffel Bajorek, he was born in Franklin on September 12, 1947.
He was a 1965 graduate of Franklin High School and attended Clarion College for a short time before enlisting in the Air Force serving in Guam and Okinawa, Japan.
He worked at Joy Mining Machinery for more than 30 years, retiring early due to health issues.
He was a member of the Franklin Eagles and Elks clubs.
On November 6, 1971 he married the former Maribeth Bell. She survives.
Additionally surviving are his sister in-law Patty Bajorek and brother in-law David Bell. Three nieces; Tessa (Matt) Miller, Tami Bowman and Dr. Alysa Bell D.O. Three great nieces; Sydney and Kendall Miller and Elizabeth Bowman.
Jim was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Bajorek, and a brother in-law, James F. Bell, Jr.
There will be no visitation or funeral mass per Jim's request.
