Obituary

James Macaluso, 82, of Emlenton, formerly of Maryland, passed away at his residence on Tuesday June 2, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Born in Newark, NJ on October 4, 1943, he was the son of the late Samuel and Grace Grosso Macaluso.

As his family life progressed he enjoyed stamp collecting, and photography. He was rarely without his camera. He enjoyed taking pictures of the family adventures, and all of nature's beauty, flowers and ducks in particular became his favorites.

Jim was always about service of some kind. In his later years he served in various ways with the Knights of Columbus, Republican Club and worked hard supporting the local ProLife Organizations.

Jim was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Franklin.

On July 16, 1963 he married the former Karen McNeece and she survives. Also surviving are his children Lisa Macaluso, Patricia Goldring and Michelle Maresch; six grandchildren, Shelby Olive, Mary Maresch, Joseph Chapman, Hanna Maresch, Stephanie Maresch, Christopher Holly and one great-granddaughter, Therese Olive.
