James W. "Bill" Kilpatrick Jr., 88, of Butler died at his home early Friday April 1, 2016.
A son of James W. and Alma Hausman Kilpatrick, he was born in Harmony on May 29, 1927. He was a member of the 1946 graduate of Zelienople High School.
A veteran of World War II Bill served with the Army Air Corps in the South Pacific.
He was retired from the Aliquippa & Southern Railroad.
Bill was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock and VFW Post 499. He enjoyed reading.
On March 29, 1998 he married the former Pearl Say Hughes, she survives along with 2 step-sons Gary Hughes of Harrisville and Brian Hughes of FL, a step-daughter Sandy Hooven of Jamestown, NY, 6 grandchildren, and 2 nieces Earla Ottaviani of TX and Sandra Peffer of GA.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Jane Kilpatrick Groves.
Friends will be received in the Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville from 3-6 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Donna Yanosy officiating.
Interment will be made in the Harmony Cemetery,
