John M. Rudolph, 72, of 601 Buffalo St. Franklin, PA. died at 6:30PM on Sunday, September 22, at The Caring Place in Franklin, PA.
He was born October 11, 1940 in Johnstown, PA. He was the son of John W. and Janet A. Fornwalt Rudolph.
He was a 1958 graduate of Dormont High School in Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Rudolph was in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 thru 1962 and in the U.S. Army Reserves in Franklin during the 1970?s receiving three Honorable Discharges.
He was employed at U.S. Steel, PPG Industries, Franklin Steel and retired after 24 years from Quaker State?s Corporation?s headquarters in Oil City in October 1995.
He was a member of the VFW Post 1835, Franklin, PA.
John was often described as ?quite the character? for his quick wit, dry sense of humor and love of telling stories. He loved to travel and watch Jeopardy.
Surviving are four children, Dan Rudolph and his wife Diana of Franklin, Michael S. Rudolph of Dover, PA., Lara A. Kinney of Mill Village, PA. and David W. Rudolph of Franklin. Also ten grandchildren, Jennifer Graham, Rachael Anderson, Leah Agee, Johnny Rudolph, Kassie Rudolph, Chelsea Rudolph, David Kinney, Brian Kinniey, William Kinney, Marion Kinney, and ten great grandchildren. Also surviving is his ex-wife of thirty-four years Shelly Rudolph of Erie, PA.
Family and friends welcome Wednesday from 3:00 ? 7:00 P.M at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 312 W. Park St. Franklin.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Larry D. Bell of the Messiah Baptist Church, officiating.
Military honors will be rendered by the V.E.T.S Honor Guard at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
