John W. Schulties

John W. Schulties, 75, of Harrisville died at 6:09 p.m. Thursday March 3, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford.

A son of the late Clarence and Geraldine Reinhart Schulties, he was born in Pittsburgh on August 6, 1940.

He was employed by Plumbers Union Local 27.

A family man he enjoyed the outdoors particularly birdwatching.

On July 27, 1971 he married the former Diane M. Putt; she died on May 9, 2008.

Surviving are three children Dawn (Marc) Mushnok of Pittsburgh, John R. (Kerri) Schulties of Natrona Heights, and James D. Schulties of McKean, 8 grandchildren Robert Schulties, Ashley Singer, Amanda, Brett and Madison Mushnok, Samantha, Alyssa, and Sierra Schulties, 6 great-grandchildren and a brother James D. Schulties of Harrisville.

Friends will be received in the Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville from 2-8 p.m. Monday and from 10-11 am Tuesday at the Barkeyville United Methodist Church where services will be held at 11 am with the Rev. Ken Hughes, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Barkeyville Cemetery.
