Julie Ann Logue, 47, of Seven Fields, formerly of Franklin, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away on July 1, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born on February 25, 1976, in Franklin, Pennsylvania she was a daughter of Jenny and Rick Logue.

She was a 1994 graduate of Rocky Grove High School and the Wilma Boyd School with an Associates Degree in Business and Travel.

Julie worked at several local businesses, most recently Williams Travel until starting to work as a Clinical Coordinator at Multi Medical Systems.

At 14, she was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy which led to heart transplant surgery at UPMC at the age of 32. In May of 2018 she became the first recipient at Allegheny General Hospital to receive a second heart transplant. Julie was passionate about educating the public to Donate Life and honor those who helped save her life through donation. Julie was featured on billboards for CORE, which is the donor referral center in this area. She also appeared on commercials for Allegheny General Hospital.

A passionate golfer, Julie and her husband Tom, traveled throughout the United States to Golf at various courses. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved to live life.

She was married to Tom Mattocks on August 9, 2017 and he survives.

Also surviving are two children, Isaac Drain and his partner, Lily, Noah Drain and her his partner, Alyssa; two step children, Radd Mattocks and Rylee Mattocks and her boyfriend, Aiden, a sister, Hope Thomas and her husband Reggie; niece, Mckenzy and and nephew, Ezra and five grandchildren, Zyhier, a baby to be, Nova, Ivy and Mason.

She was preceded in by her grandparents and three uncles.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. Wednesday.

Funeral services will be private for family with David Conaway, Julie’s uncle, officiating.

Interment will be at Franklin Cemetery.
