June A. Horn, age 72 of Oil City, passed away at her residence on Monday November 25, 2024 following a long courageous battle of cancer, surrounded by her family.

Born in Franklin, PA on December 27, 1951 she was the daughter of the late Robert James Rodgers, Sr. and Ethel Alfreda Hedglin.

She graduated from Rocky Grove High School in 1971. 

June was a bus driver for Pritchard's Bus Service. She drove Bus #10 for 25 years. Later she worked for Walmart for 18 years. And finally Meals on Wheels driver until retirement.

She was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church for 50 years.

She was a Girl Scout leader for the Dempseytown Group. She was a 4-H leader for the Dempseytown Challengers and the Oakland Villagers as well as the 4-H board member for many years. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for friends and family as well as crocheting baby blankets.

June was married to Dale L. Horn on February 1, 1975. They would have celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2025.

Surviving are two children, Mindy A. Williams and husband Jonathan P. Williams of Tuscumbia, AL and Terry L. Horn and wife Stacey L. Horn of Titusville, Pa; 10 grandchildren, Tyler Williams of Tuscumbia, AL, Jacob Williams and wife Rosa of Tuscumbia, AL, Madison Williams of Tuscumbia, AL, Octavia Ferguson and husband Chris of Seneca, Pa, Victoria Horn and significant other Christian Garren of Franklin, Pa, Warren Horn and fiancée Andrea Ziegler of Titusville, Pa, Alexia Horn of Seneca, Pa, Ryan Shaw and significant other Amber Sakalousky of Franklin, Pa, Reagan Shaw and fiancée Adam Chalmers of Titusville, Pa, Dylan Shaw of Titusville, Pa.

Additionally surviving are six great-grandchildren, Noah and Waylon Williams from Tuscumbia, AL, Samuel Williams, Franklin, PA, Xenayah Crose and Norah Ferguson of Seneca, Pa and Charlotte Shaw of Titusville, Pa; two Siblings, Robert James Rodgers Jr (Nan) of Easton, PA and Ruth Laskey of Seneca ,Pa; eight in-laws, Joyce Campbell of St. Marys, Pa, Ellwood Horn of Franklin, Pa, Diane Weingard of Oil City, Pa, Kenny Horn of Franklin, Pa, Larry Horn (Michelle) of Franklin, Pa, Scott Horn of Oil City, Pa, Craig Horn (Sharon) of Oil City, Pa and Jeff Horn (Bobbi) of Oil City, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her father and mother in law, Warren and Ruth Horn; sister Delores Groves; brother in laws: Mel Laskey, Clyde Weingard, James Campbell, Don Irwin, Denny Horn, Robert Groves; sister in laws: Debbie Horn, Karen Irwin and Marion Horn and a grandson: Jonathan R Horn (Williams)

 Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

June's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Hospice VNA services and Hillman Cancer Center including her nurses Phyllis, Tori and Rachel. 

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin. 

There will be no visitation . A Celebration of Life is being planned for a future date.

In Lieu of flowers the family is requesting financial assistance to cover funeral expenses by sending donations to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home.
