Karen P. Umstead, 84, of Cranberry, passed away at 11:40 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Oil City Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Karen was born December 18, 1941, and was the beloved daughter of the late Louis and R. Elizabeth Bell Lindholm. 

Following graduation from Franklin High School, she was employed at Hough Manufacturing Co., The General Manifold Co., and retired from Polk Center. 

Her beloved husband, Earl Umstead, to whom she was married for 56 years, preceded her in death on September 27, 2022. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Francine Flowers, and her nephew, John Robert Lindholm.

She is survived by her brother, John Rolf Lindholm (Linda); her son-in-law, John Flowers (Dawn); three grandchildren, Devon Kutruff (Granger), Tyler Flowers (Nikki), and David Flowers (Jacque); great-grandchildren, Ava Kutruff, Cameron Kutruff, Nathan Collett, and Sarah Flowers; and two nieces, Lauren Lindholm and Erin Baughman. In addition to her family members, she is survived by many dear friends who also loved her.

Karen loved spending time with her family and friends and with the many pets she had through the years. She enjoyed bluegrass music and was a talented guitar player. She loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, hunting, and going on float trips with Earl and their many friends. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all.

There will be no visitation or services.
