Linda Shaw, 56, of Oil City, passed away at her residence on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

Born in Franklin on March 13, 1969, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence A. Shaw Jr. and Shirley Peterson Shaw. Linda attended Franklin High School and Vo Tech for cosmetology. She most recently worked in health care as she loved taking care of others. She loved thrifting, shopping, yard work, helping her friends, her dogs, collecting jewelry, spending time with her grandkids and watching movies with her girls. She always looked out for everyone; Her door was always open to whoever need a place to stay and a hot meal. She looked out for others even when she was struggling. She had the biggest heart and always had the best intentions.

Surviving are her children, Jessica Ludy and her significant Aanik Jones, Lacey Shaw, Aalayah Shaw , Zakara CynnNewton , Stephanie sloss, Stormi Silba and her son-in-law, Calvin Ludy Sr, Andrew Poindexter ; siblings, Deb Frampton (Johnny) of Franklin, Tammi Shaw (Dan DeWoody) of Franklin, Lori Dailey (Joe) Utica, Susan Reed, Vickie Peterson, Cindy Peterson Franklin; a brother-in-law Tom Ferris of Franklin; Uncle Ed and Aunt Faye Peterson, Uncle Bob and Aunt Sandy Peterson along with numerous cousin nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, Justice Ludy and her significant other Dashawn Deeter Greenville, Cartier Ludy, Jamari Barton, Jaeda Barton, Journee Conway, Joshua “Benny Buttons” Conway Royez Jr., Raymone, Makenzie, and Madison Ludy, Kilia Harris and Kamdyn Reagle. She had many children and grandchildren that weren’t biologically hers, but she claimed them as her own. She was everyone’s mom!

Additionally surviving are very close friends David Nalepa, Matthew Lance Barton Jessie Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Alexander Shaw Jr. and Shirley and Richard Peterson; Sisters Cyn Reitz Joyce Ferris, grandson Calvin Cortez Ludy Jr., Nephew William Reitz III and great niece Joslyn Engel; brothers-in-law Harry Engel and William Reitz Jr., Daniel reed maternal grandparents, Earl and Goldie Boyles paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Myrl Shaw Walter and Erma Peterson along with numerous aunts and uncles.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 16, 2025. A Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel.
