Marianne Moehrbach

June 2, 1942 — January 11, 2018

Marianne Moehrbach, 75, of Franklin, passed away peacefully with her daughter at her side at 10:23 A.M. on Thursday January 11, 2018 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

Born June 2, 1942 in Franklin, she was the daughter of the late George F. and Fotina V. "Fanny" Johns Ramfos.

She was a graduate of Franklin High School, attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for a few years and earned two Bachelor's degrees from Barry University in Florida and the University of Pittsburgh. Marianne worked as a Design Analyst; working on everything from mining machinery at Joy Technologies, to jet engines at Pratt & Whitney.

Marianne was a spirited person and she was known to say "well behaved women rarely make history". Marianne cared deeply for her friends and she would help them in whatever way she could. She was a kind, generous person with a unique style and verve for life. She will be remembered for her fierce loyalty, high ideals, integrity and genuine spirit.

Marianne had a great affection and appreciation for the visual and performing arts and possessed an educated and a discriminating flair for identifying talent. She was a hometown "Martha Stewart" who knew how to plan an event and create tasty and visually pleasing epicurean delights.

She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and having them over to visit. Her grandson Damon who is 12 stated that "Nana respected that I have a bubble, because she had a bubble of her own and understood."

Marianne is survived by her daughter Erika Drayer and her husband Jonathan of Franklin; two grandchildren, Damon Drayer and Justin Drayer; and a brother, Leo Ramfos of Franklin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Ramfos and Frank Ramfos.

At Marianne's request there will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin.
