Mary Lou Huff, 74, of Oil City, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

Born in Franklin on May 19, 1951, she was the daughter of the late, C. Calvin and Norma Simons Ferringer.

Mary Lou was a 1969 graduate of Rocky Grove High School.

She worked many years at the former Miller Fall Equipment as an Accounts Payable Clerk.

Mary Lou loved spending time with her beloved dog, Gracie. She enjoyed reading and watching reruns of the Golden Girls and Mama's Family.

On August 4, 1973, she married Robert Huff and he survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Christa Baker and her fiancé Jonathan Drayer of Rocky Grove and Michelle Bemis and her husband Cory of Swansboro, NC; four grandchildren Justin McCarty, Carley "Charlie" McCarty and her significant other Sierra and her son, Brycen, Carter Bemis and MacKenna Bemis; two bonus grandchildren, Damon and Justin Drayer. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Charles C. "Chuck" Ferringer Jr. and a granddaughter, Emma Rose Bemis.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. Friday, January 16, 2026.

A funeral service will follow at 6:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be Saturday morning at Bethel Cemetery.
