Mary Suzann Swab, 76, of Franklin, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at UPMC Hamot in Erie after a brief illness. 

Daughter of the late Doris and Albert Dean, she was born on January 10, 1950 in Titusville. 

Mary was a 1967 graduate of Rocky Grove High School and attended Hagerstown Business College where she received a diploma for a Junior Secretarial Degree. 

She worked as a CNA at Sugar Creek Station for over twenty years. 

Family was the most important thing in Mary's life. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world and she loved them all dearly. Her granddog, Molly Ann, was her pride and joy. 

Mary is survived by her children, Dana (Kali) Swab II, Danielle Swab, and Daniel (Tara) Swab, all of Franklin. Grandchildren include Ally Sweitzer, Chevy Umstead, Tony Umstead, Cassie Umstead, Renee Swab, Dana Swab III, Daniel (Lucia) Swab II, and Sierra Swab. Great grandchildren left to cherish Mary's memory are Chasity Bosley, Trayvion Loggins, Ryker Horn, Hunter Horn, Rainey Oaks, Nathanial Swab, Kyler Porter, Elizabeth Porter, and Malikai Sweitzer. Surviving siblings include Pauline Ongley, Daniel Dean, and Patricia Richardson.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Swab, and a great grandson, Easton Umstead. Seven siblings preceded her in death as well; Darlene, Marion, Albert, William, Joyce, Dorothy, and Richard.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 312 W Park St., Franklin where friends and family will be received from 5:00 - 6:30 P.M. on Thursday for visitation. 

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 6:30 P.M. with Mary's life-long friend, Lila Hookins, officiating. 

Memorial donations may be made in Mary's name to the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf 300 E Swissvale Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15218.
