Obituary

Michelle Yvonne Dodge, 56, of Rocky Grove, passed away the evening of Sunday, May 31, 2026 at home with her loving family by her side.

Daughter of the late Florence O. and Albert S. Dodge II, Michelle was born on March 11, 1970 in Franklin.

She attended Franklin High School.

Cooking was one of Michelle’s biggest passions. She started her first job at 16 years old in a restaurant, and that dedication lasted her a lifetime, with her most recent job as a cook at Bella Cucina in Franklin.

She enjoyed the simple things in life, from gardening and mowing the lawn to having family picnics full of life and laughter. Some of her hobbies included fashion, crafting, baking, and doing puzzles.

Michelle loved her children and grandchildren the most out of everything in the world. Being with her family was the most important thing in her life. Being known as “Grandma” was her favorite thing. Michelle loved hosting family gatherings and would often have cookouts, picnics, and bonfires.

Michelle is survived by her children; Guy Dodge (Britany Bowes) of NC, Jordan Dodge of NC, Sophia Dodge of Oil City, and Michael Dodge of NC. Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren: Madaylnn, Avana, Zavier, Nova, Aleah, Luvaya, Gianna, and Symphony.

Siblings left to cherish Michelle’s memory are Lisa McAninch (Ken Lawson) of Oil City, Albert (Jolene) Dodge III of Knox, and Lona (John) Haggerty. Nieces and nephews include Tevin, Samantha, Jazzmine, Timothy, Patrick, Ty’shon, Christopher, and two great-nieces, Alyce and Donna.

Michelle will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. It won’t be the same without her, as she truly changed all of their lives for the better.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 312 W Park St., Franklin where friends and family will be received from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Thursday.
