Minnie G. Barr, 94 of Kennerdell, passed away at 2:10 A.M. Sunday March 27, 2016 at Sugarcreek Station.
Born November 24, 1921 at her family home in Rockland, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Harkless Reagle.
She was a 1937 graduate of the former Rockland High School.
Minnie worked for a number of years at the former Venango Card Company as a card finisher.
She was a dedicated mother who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Minnie was an avid reader and enjoyed flowers, crafting, cross word puzzles and sewing.
A woman of faith, Minnie read the bible daily as she was able.
On December 12, 1939 she married Everett Barr and he preceded her in death on August 23, 1998.
Surviving are six children; Bernard L. Barr of Meadville, Bernadine L. Doyle of Utica, Ella M. Harrah and her husband Jack of Franklin, Jack W. Barr of Kennerdell, Pamela J. Ward and her husband Dan of Kennerdell and Debra A. Amsler and her husband Bob of Oil City; a son in law, Jack Miller and 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce E. Miller, a sister, Mary E. Karns, daughter-in-law Jayne Barr and a son-in-law, Thomas Doyle.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday.
Interment will follow at Melat Cemetery.
