Pamela Lynne Simpson Strausbaugh, 71, of Sandycreek Twp., Franklin passed away at her home on Sunday, March 22, 2026, after a nine month battle with neuroendocrine cancer of the gallbladder.
She was born on August 17, 1954 in Franklin and was the daughter of the late Arthur Simpson and Alice Hoffman Simpson Butler.
Pam was an RSA for 36 years at Polk Center. She volunteered at Sandycreek Elementary for many years. She also volunteered at Relay for Life.
Pam loved going to ladies nights and she never met a Chinese Auction she could pass up. She would take what she wanted from her winnings and make baskets with the remaining prizes donating them to various charities. She enjoyed attending the various events Huff - Guthrie Funeral Home offers our community.
Pam was a devoted grandmother, attending all the activities her grandchildren participated in.
She is leaving behind a daughter Sonya Strausbaugh and her partner Jeffrey Carson; two grandchildren, Autumn Sue Strausbaugh and Ember Lynne Strausbaugh.
Additionally surviving are two sisters Linda Buchanan and Sue (Dave)Wong; two aunts, Lola Stroup and Helen Stroup; two special friends Elaine Kitelinger and Sharon Jez, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her dog Sadie.
In addition to her parents Pam was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Strausbaugh, her long time partner Bill Reitz,her sisters Patricia Greenlee, Susan Simpson and Mary Simpson Douglas.
In accordance with Pam's wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
She will be cremated and buried with her mother in Franklin Cemetery.
