Richard Alan "Dick" Mihleder, 93, of Franklin, passed away on July 14, 2025 at Sugar Creek Care Center with his family by his side.

Son of the late John G. and Zelma Perrine Mihleder, Dick was born in Boston, MA on August 24, 1931.

He graduated from Rocky Grove High School in 1949. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force. He proudly served his country for four years.

After his time in the service, Dick managed Byer's Hardware, was a purchasing agent at Mooney Chemical, and was finally a purchasing agent at Conair, where he retired from.

Dick was a member of Grace Church of Rocky Grove, serving as a Sunday School teacher for many years and also served on the Board of Trustees. He was always a willing volunteer for any need that came up in the church. His faith was something he was deeply passionate about.

He was a talented self-taught woodworker. Anything his family asked him to make, he would find a way to make it happen. He was an avid golfer and bowler as well.

Dick's family remembers him as a hard worker, a jack-of-all-trades, and the person to go to for any advise. Anyone could see how dedicated he was to his family.
