He was an avid hunter and enjoyed antique cars.
He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War
He was married to Joanne M.(Buchanan)Mershimer on May 9, 1953.
Surviving is His wife Joanne M. Mershimer-at the residence one Daughter: Judy A. Mershimer-Delray Beach, FL, one Son: Jerry L. Mershimer and his wife Lori : Otto, NC, five Grandchildren and one Sister: Betty Sadler-Grove City, PA
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday December 24, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Jamison Funeral Home 117 N. Main St. Harrisville, PA with The Rev. C. William Woodman of Center Presbyterian Church Pine Township� Mercer County will officiate.
Friends will be received at the Jamison Funeral Home on Friday December 23,2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
Burial will be at Slippery Rock Cemetery
