Robert Lee "Robbie" Renninger, 77, of Franklin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026, after a brief stay at Sugar Creek Care Center following a battle with cancer.

Born September 22, 1948, in Franklin, he was the son of the late Robert B. Renninger and Greta Jones Dees.

He was a 1966 graduate of Rocky Grove High School. Robbie joined the United States Navy following graduation and helped move supplies up the Mekong Delta.

Following his time in the Navy, he worked at Pepsi, then moved to Bradford for several years, moving back in Franklin in 1989. He started working at the former Joy Manufacturing where he retired from in 2013.

Robbie loved golfing and spent many days on the various golf courses in the area. He looked forward to his yearly trip to Linden Hall with all his buddies. Robbie also played in the Elk's League.

After 37 years with his partner, Sharon Lee Worden, they married on June 8, 2023.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his friends, Becky and Bob Witherup, Rich, Bruce and his best friend Paul Lehman.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no viewing.

A Celebration of Life is being planned in early summer.
