Robert E. "Bob" Resinger

Robert E. "Bob" Resinger, 75, of Franklin, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 31, 2025.

He was born in Franklin Hospital on July 31, 1950 to the late Katherine Shay and was raised by Ruth and Floyd Resinger.

He attended Rocky Grove Schools and received his GED in 1986. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, gun raffles, and bingo. During the 1970's he was an avid CBer and worked at the CB Shop in Barkeyville. He helped form the Western PA Emergency Control CB Club (Channel 9). Bob was a charter member of the Rocky Grove Lions Club and was the clubs first Secretary. He also belonged to the Coon and Fox Club of Franklin and the West County Community Lions Club.

Bob worked at CPT until his car accident in 1970. Also, he worked for a short time at Chefs Classic and received the nickname of "The Meat Man". He enjoyed taking bids to Harrisburg for Shingledecker's Welding. He served on the Sugarcreek Boro Council for many years.

He was married to Deborah Kunkel Resinger on December 31, 1980, whom still survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 daughters, Dianna Walker and Patricia "Patti" Resinger both of Franklin, PA, Betsy Hay of Washington, PA and Dr. Phoebe "Katie" Kutterna (Frank) of West Springfield, PA. He has 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by in laws, Sarah Resinger of Franklin, PA, Nancy (LeRoy) Prichard of Matthews, NC, and Roy (Peg) Kunkel of Tacoma, WA.

He was married to Vickie Best Resinger, who proceeded him in death, along with parents, Katherine and Ellis Shay, Ruth and Floyd Resinger, his brother, Floyd "Butch" Resinger, and in-laws, Earl and Phoebe Kunkel and Orval and Pat Best. Also deceased are a number of brother and sister in-laws.

Family and friends are welcome from Noon - 2:00 P.M. Saturday November 8th at Galloway Church 196 Seysler Road, Franklin.

A funeral service will follow in the church at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Roy Gearhart, officiating.

Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery.
