Obituary

Steve "The Character" Allen Lawson, 53, of Oil City, passed away on May 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on September 3, 1972, Steve lived life loudly, proudly, and unapologetically as himself - earning the nickname "The Character" everywhere he went.

Steve was a hardworking and generous man whose energy could fill any room the moment he walked through the door. He had an awnery, goofy personality that brought laughter and unforgettable memories to the people around him. Whether he was cracking jokes, telling stories, or simply being himself, Steve had a way of making people smile and feel welcome.

He loved watching wrestling, fishing, swimming, and most of all spending time with the people he loved. Family meant everything to Steve, and the moments shared with his children, grandchildren, brothers, and loved ones were the moments he cherished most.

Steve leaves behind a family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts: his son, Cordero Estrada and friend Brenda Estrada; his son, Tyler Cramer, and daughter Kinsley; his daughter, Crystalyn Mae Adams, and her children Brooklynn, Braizlyn, and Izekiel; and his brothers, Bobby Lawson and Rick Lawson.

Though his passing leaves a tremendous emptiness, Steve's laughter, love, and larger-than-life spirit will never be forgotten. He was truly one of a kind, and the impact he made on those who knew him will live on forever.

Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 312 W Park St Franklin, PA.
