Obituary

Tammi Ann Ruditis, 67, of Franklin, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at home with her family by her side.

She was born on April 24, 1959 in Franklin to the late Dolores Ann (William) Bogart and Arthur Ray "Bud" (Caroline) Montgomery, Sr.

Tammi graduated from Franklin High School on June 26, 1977 and was part of her beloved "Class of FHS 77".

Tammi worked at Riverside Markets, Picway Shoe Store, and then Footlocker as a sales representative. She later transitioned her job interest to the health field, putting in two stints as a patient access coordinator at UPMC Northwest. She worked 10 years as a billing and coder for urologist Dr. Paden. Tammi finished her employment years with Venango County Human Services until her retirement.

Using her high school Majorette experience, Tammi and her longtime friend Kim Plyler founded Starlite Express Baton and Marching Corp together in 1988. For several years they marched in various parades in Pennsylvania, taking 1st or 2nd place in most of the parades as a competitive marching group. They turned the reins of the Baton group over in 1996 to other qualified women, and the group still competes in parades to this day.

Tammi always kept her friends and family close. She enjoyed going out with her friends Kim Plyler and Ginny Castonguay and loved pontoon boating with her husband Terry and friends Patti Irwin and Terry Stromeyer.

Her biggest joy was her grandchildren. She loved attending her grandchildren's school and sporting activities and summer vacations in Virginia and Myrtle Beach.

On September 1, 1978, Tammi married her husband, Terry Ruditis, who survives. They shared 47 years together.

Also surviving is son Ryan Ruditis and his wife Alisha of Franklin, daughter Jessica Kerr and her husband Shawn of Morgantown, WV, and son Nathan Ruditis of Franklin. Cherished grandchildren include Rylee Ruditis of Franklin, and Carson, Brendan, and Miles Kerr of Morgantown, WV.

Tammi is also lovingly remembered by her brother, Arthur "Buddy" Montgomery, Jr. and his wife Barb of Franklin, niece Tonya Roberson, nephew Chaz Montgomery, and step-mother Caroline Montgomery of Franklin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father William Bogart of Franklin, and close cousin Bobbi Jean Heberle of Erie.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 312 W Park St, Franklin where family and friends will be received from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Church with Father James C. Campbell, officiating.

Interment will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery.
