Obituary

Tim Alan Cochran joined his family members in heaven on October 8, 2026 following a brief illness.

Born on December 16, 1963 in Venango County, Tim was the youngest son of William B. Cochran Jr and Willadean R. (Long) Cochran, who entered Heaven before him.

Tim was a 1984 graduate of Rocky Grove Jr Sr High School.

He had two children with his ex wife, Felicia McGinnis.

Tim was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and share this skill with his son and daughter. He also was well known for his BBQ and Smoked Meats and had many requests for his "Cowboy Beans." Tim was in much demand during graduation season, grilling season, and special events for different organizations. For several years he was the "Chef" for family gatherings during the summer. His BBQ Mastery will be missed by many.

In Heaven he will be joining his parents, step mom Lura Cochran, brother William B. Cochran the 3rd, Granddad and Grandma Long, his Grandma and Granddad Cochran, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by his daughter Brooke Cochran and her Fiancé Roy Green, son Timothy Cochran, and stepson Tony Young. He is also survived by his sister Lori Wolbert and her husband Terry, stepbrother Randy Peterson and his wife Mary, stepsister Lisa Rowe and her husband Mike, two nieces Jennifer(Michael) Waugh and Lisa Cochran and husband John Aulthouse and several Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. In addition, Michael Young and Brandi Young were 2 other young people that had a special place in Tim’s heart.

The family would like to thank Tim’s loyal friends who have stuck by him and helped him through his illness. A special thank you and hug for Donn Ghering, Chris Zinz, and Tommy Marsh who not only helped Tim, but also took care of his family. If you saw Tim anywhere before and during his illness, chances were that Tommy got him there and Chris and Donn gave Tim a home and made him "toe the line" and take care of himself. Bless all three of them.

The family would also like to thank the Nurses of 3 South UPMC and Hospice of UPMC. Their caring of Tim's comfort and our needs during the Hospice days was much appreciated.

A private celebration of life will be held at a date to be announced.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 312 W Park St. Franklin, PA 16323.
