Obituary

In loving memory of Vicky Sue Stainbrook (Ward), of Cooperstown, PA who passed away on February 25, 2026 in her home surrounded with love from her family and her beloved dog Bucboy.

Born January 29, 1962 in Victorville, CA, Vicky was the daughter of the late Melvin and Connie Ward (Green).

She was the beloved wife of 49 years of Don Stainbrook, who survives.

Vicky had a huge heart and great love for each and every member of her family. Family meant everything to her. Though physical decline kept her from the sidelines of her grandchildren's activities, Nana never missed a beat, always finding ways to share in their lives and offer her unwavering encouragement through personalized humor, songs and loving words. Her memory will live on through all of those whom she loved and who love her always and forever Mama, Nana, Vic.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Robin Hart and her husband Joe of Franklin, Heather Mohnkern and her husband Scott of Colorado Springs, CO, Jessica Stainbrook and her husband Joe Coon of Cochranton and Lara Rice and her husband Austin of Guys Mills; a step-son, David Engel and his companion, Jessica Walsh of Cochranton; 11 grandchildren, Brandan Hart, Kyla Hart, Kelsi Seigworth, Maverick Engel, Kali Whitten, Austin Rice, Zander Coon, Silas Mohnkern, Laveah Rice, Easton Rice and Colson Rice.

She is additionally survived by three sisters, Deb Ward, Pam Renninger and Rhonda Eakin and a brother, Michael Ward. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kim Trotter.

There will be no visitation.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at St. Ambrose Church at 2:00 P.M. by invitation only.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin.
