William "Bill" Bacher Jr.

William "Bill" Bacher Jr., 78, of Franklin passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Franklin on September 24, 1946, Bill was the son of the late William "Bill" Bacher Sr. and Jeanette Rial Bacher.

His comic relief and the kindness of his heart were felt by so many. He will be greatly missed.

Bill is survived by his wife Cheryl who he shared over 50 years of marriage with. His daughters; Valerie (Brayden) Bacher Feltenburger, Michele (Dennis) Bennett, Becky (Ben) Simms. A son, Joe (Michaelene) Bacher. His grandchildren; Julian Joseph and Brady Michael Bacher, Brayden and Jenna Simms, Brandon Burger, and his two beloved dogs, Gracie Mae and Aussie Thomas.

Additionally surviving are his sisters; Karol (Sam) Shaw, Jackie Kapp, Marty (Fred) Phillips, Peg (Roger) Keith, and Joanne Bacher. His brothers; Ron (Mary Kay) Bacher, Michael (Joanne) Bacher. Several loved nieces and nephews also cherish Bill's memory.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brother Thomas Joseph Bacher, sons Kevin Bacher, Thomas Hines, and Fred Proper, and a granddaughter, Gina Marie.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 312 West Park St., Franklin where friends and family will be received from 3:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. Friday and from 9:30- 10:30 A.M. Saturday for visitation.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at St. Patrick Church 949 Liberty Street, Franklin with Father Richard Allen of St. Joseph Church, officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Patrick Church Cemetery.
